The Africa movie industry is growing at an alarming rate and almost rivaling the American movie industry, Hollywood and Indian Bollywood, among others. Just like any other movie industry in the world, the African movie industry has been graced by actors, that according to many are handsome, hardworking, smart and outstandingly give their best to make their fans happy.

Here is a look at the 10 most Handsome African Actors the continent has produced.


The name Ramsey Nouah will never be erased from the lips of most young ladies in Africa and beyond especially in movies. He was affectionately called the “boy-lover” by many since he played most of the romantic and lover roles in movies upon which people loved most. He is a Nigerian, has acted over 100 movies and received awards.


John Dumelo, born 3 February 1984, is a Ghanaian actor and humanitarian. He is an entrepreneur and has the passion to empower youth to start-up their own business. He has received numerous awards and was the first Ghanaian citizen to hit a million likes on Facebook. John Dumelo is very handsome and most ladies admire him especially when he appears in a movie.


Sisanda Henna is a South African actor, writer, presenter, producer, director, financial planner and entertainment entrepreneur best known for his starring role as Andile in the SABC1 drama series Tsha Tsha, from 2003-2006. He has acted in several short films and has won many awards.


Michel was born in Cantonments, a suburb of the Ghanaian capital Accra. The son of a Lebanese father and a Ghanaian mother grew up in Accra, Ghana with his siblings. He rose to fame as an actor after featuring in a TV series “Things We Do For Love” which was very popular in the past. He is very handsome, talented and gives his best when acting.


Kenyan actor Gerald Langiri is famed for his roles in sex comedies. The lad was a key star in last year’s hit comedy, “House of Lungula” He will also star in the yet to be unveiled, ‘Fundimentals’. Other than acting, Gerald is a blogger too. He was named the best Film blogger/journalist at the just concluded African Film Development Awards (AFDA) held in Zanzibar, Tanzania.


Handsome, responsible and talented Nigerian actor, Mike will not miss out in this list. He is also noted for playing the “prince” roles in movies making people love him more. Mike is very simple and always put up his best in movies.


Chris Attoh is a Ghanaian actor, on-air personality, television presenter and producer. He is best known as “Kwame Mensah” in Tinsel. He is married to a Nigerian actress and have given birth to a baby boy.


James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke, is a Nigerian actor in Nigeria’s movie industry and one of the stars of the movie. Apart from acting, he is an entrepreneur and has received a lot of awards in the movie industry.

  2. Mutiso kasyoka kithiingiisyo from kenya should be there,actually number one, he has acted in over 100 kenyan movies even won an Oscar award in 2005.
