Ras Kuuku and JKL4real set to release “NUFF GYALS”

IMG-20160126-WA0003Fast-rising Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artiste, Ras Kuuku and JKL4real will release a hotly anticipated single exclusively for their fans this week.

It’s still a big deal even if you’re not a particularly big fan of JKL4real or Ras Kuuku.

Ras Kuuku’s hit single, titled ‘NUFF GYALS’, will stream on Y FM Online Radio and will be released exclusively on 107.9 Yfm with Trigmatic on the Mid-Morning Show.

“NUFF GYALS” is a masterful move by 4Real Records that might make a lot of people consider switching to listening to songs of Artist under 4real Records.

This single is going to be an absolute monster since Ras Kuuku is no stranger to sudden releases. His last surprise broke over 25 thousand streams in 3 days, beating his own record set in 2006.

4Real Records has managed to surprise fans with a long-rumored single between two of popular and most sparingly hot artists.

They’ve released a single that’s a surprise and hotly anticipated at the same time. That’s marketing savvy that should have the people of Africa scratching their chins.

Nobody knows for sure the size or terms of Ras Kuukus’s deal with 4Real Records, it could be zero or it could be $10 million, but this single release is a guaranteed hit.

Complain all you want about exclusivity in music, but 4real Records has managed to spin a first single release in 2016, into something a bit bigger and shared. As a fan of music, it’s thrilling.

Mahama to reward ‘heroic’ taxi driver with a house

President John Mahama has pledged to give a house to the taxi driver who foiled a robbery attack on a female Koala employee at Cantonments in Accra on Saturday by ramming his taxi into a motor bike that was conveying two suspects who had shot the victim in the thigh.

The Vice-President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, disclosed this when he hosted the taxi driver, Nana Yaw, at the Flagstaff House on Monday.

Mr Amissah-Arthur joined thousands of other Ghanaians to commend the driver for his patriot and heroic act.

The Director General of the Criminals Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Commissioner of Police (COP), Mr Prosper Agblor, had earlier commended the taxi driver for his bravery, pledging that the damaged taxi would be repaired by the police.

Meanwhile the management of Koala has pledged to purchase a new car for the taxi driver, following damage to his taxi.

It also stated that its employee who was attacked was not transporting money to the bank as had been reported by a section of the media.

Four persons have been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery.

They are the Supervisor of the Cantonments branch of the Koala Supermarkets, a security man at ACACIA Construction Firm at Cantonments, and two suspected armed robbers, Stanley Obaleko, alias Suleiman Mohammed, 35, a Nigerian, and Oko Quarcoo, 30, a Ghanaian.

The supervisor, Gilbert Osabutey, 36, from Koala and his accomplice, Doe Ahiatafu, 28, a security man, were said to have masterminded the robbery operation.

The female victim, who sustained gunshot wounds, was admitted at the 37 Military Hospital, while the two suspected robbers, who also sustained serious bone fractures, were admitted at the Police Hospital in Accra.
